Introducing „New Ghost“
Rising indie-psych duo Palace Winter have debuted their latest track ‘New Ghost’, the follow up to their No. 1 Hype Machine charting single ‘Menton’.
‘New Ghost’ is the latest release from the band’s debut EP ‘Medication’ that will be physically available on November 13th via Tambourhinoceros.
The track is rousing and bittersweet with a warm, swooning rhythm. A step back from the band’s first two thrashing singles ‘Time Machine’ and recent global success ‘Menton’, ‘New Ghost’ highlights the incredible songwriting ability of Danish born Caspar Hesselager and Australian Carl Coleman.
‘Menton’, having been uploaded back in August, has made fans from NME Radar to The Guardian to Noisey and a haul of blogs across the world. Two weeks after it’s debut, the track reached the No. 1 slot on the Hype Machine chart and racked up a massive 100,000 plays.
Caspar elaborates on how the two work together: “Carl’s background is totally different from mine, yet we still seem to end up musically in a place where we really enjoy being. I studied classical piano, played a lot of jazz and ended up doing a lot of electronic music and pop as well, but Carl’s playing and singer-songwriter background is a missing piece in all that”.
